DONNIE BAILLARGEON - DIRECTOR: A graduate of Bridgewater University with a BA in Communications and Theater, Donnie spent many of his earlier decades as a performer on stages at Busch Gardens Williamsburg, The Century City Playhouse in Los Angeles, CA, The King Richard’s Faire in Carver, MA, the NETC National Theater competition on Spokane, WA, and multiple groups in the Boston and metro-West area. With two partners, he was co-author of a mystery comedy, “Murdering the Mob,” which ran in Boston’s Theater District for a year and a half in the late 80’s and early 90’s. Having served as producer and production photographer for numerous productions at Beatrice Herford’s Vokes Theatre in Wayland, Donnie continues to satiate his passion in many aspects of theater production, by working as a stage director. In the past 20 years he has staged musical and non-musical productions for Hovey Players, Concord Players, Acme Theatre Productions, with the most productions tallied at his home base - Vokes Theatre in Wayland. A few years ago, Donnie heeded an inner calling as a set designer creating set designs for the stages of Hovey Players’ and Vokes Players’ productions. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Beatrice Herford’s Vokes Theatre as Vice President and serves as Membership Director for Eastern Massachusetts Association of Community Theatres (EMACT). Donnie and his husband, David Berti, currently reside in Marlborough.

CINDY BELL - ACTOR is pleased to get a chance to participate in this fun adventure.  She has worked in some aspect of theater since she was in 4th grade and wrote her own plays for her classmates to perform and watch.  She always made sure to cast herself in the largest parts.  Cindy has been an actor, director, teacher and writer for theatrical endeavors.  She has an MA in Theatre Education from Emerson.  Favorite plays have included Looking (Val), Enchanted April (Lotty Wilton), Guys and Dolls (Sarah Brown), Be Here Now (Bari) and Other Desert Cities (Polly Wyeth).  In her other life, Cindy is a clinical social worker, a mother, a traveler and a gardener.  She loves her dog, walking in the woods and playing board games.  

MARK BRANSON - ACTOR is an actor, stand-up comic, and musician. Favorite roles include Speed in Curtain Call Theatre’s production of The Odd Couple and Juror #3 in Liberty Production’s 12 Angry Men. Mark has also had other acting roles working with Arlington Friends of the Drama, JakespeareVTC, and Gilbert Entertainment. When he’s not acting Mark can be seen performing standup comedy around New England and was recently accepted as a performer in the 2023 Portland Maine Comedy Festival.

ANNE DAMON - ACTOR  Anne is delighted to be making her debut with Senior Smilez this season.  Over the years, Anne has worked at many area theatre companies (including the Vokes Players, Arlington Friends, Hovey Players, Quannapowitt Players, Concord Players, Acme Theatre Company, the Footlight Club, and the Firehouse Center in Newburyport), in a long list of productions such as Murder on the Orient Express, Harvey, Morning’s at Seven, Ripcord, Silent Sky, Noises Off, Doubt, Radium Girls, Moonlight & Magnolias, Wonder of The World, Present Laughter, Dinner With Friends, Arcadia, Auntie Mame, Six Degrees of Separation, Uncle Vanya, Jake’s Women, and Dancing at Lughnasa, among others.  She has been honored with many nominations and several awards from EMACT (the Eastern Massachusetts Association of Community Theatres) for her work as an actor, producer, and set dressing/props designer, and was recently a grateful recipient of EMACT’s Lifetime Achievement Award.

PHIL DOHERTY - ACTOR has been involved in community theater for twenty years, performing in musicals and plays equally enthusiastically. From Juror 3 (the bad guy) in "Twelve Angry Men" to singing as Jean Valjean (the good guy) in musical review. From Willy Loman in "Death of a Salesman" to Albert Peterson in "Bye Bye Birdie." It has all been enormously enjoyable, and he's been lucky to have met his amazing wife, Nancy, and so many good friends over the years. Winnie the Pooh said it so well: "We didn't realize we were making memories, we just knew we were having fun."

STEVE LILLIS - ACTOR has worked in community, professional, dinner theater for many years in the Greater Boston area.  Favorite roles include Tevye  in “Fiddler on the Roof”, The Lion in “The Wizard of Oz” and Ben Franklin in “1776”, Horace Vandegelder  in “Hello Dolly”. Most recently Steve appeared as Igor in “Young Frankenstein” at Enter Stage Left Theater in Hopkington. Steve worked as a Singing Waiter and in many Murder Mystery Dinner Theaters. He also performed as “The King” in a Medieval English Dinner Theater.  Steve lives in Framingham with his wife Kathy.

NANCY JANE MURPHY - ACTOR was a relative late-comer to theater, cutting her teeth as Truvy in Steel Magnolias in her early 40s. Some favorite roles include Amanda Wingfield in The Glass Menagerie (where she garnered a Best Actress nomination from EMACT), Nurse Ratched in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Titania in A Midsummer Night's Dream, Beatrice in Much Ado About Nothing, Dolly in Hello Dolly and Mrs Bennet in Pride and Prejudice. She met her husband, Phil Doherty, on the stage and relishes the opportunity to work and play with him on stage.

MARY SCARLATA - ROWE - ACTOR is an originator and co-founder of Enter Stage Left Theater Group (“ESL”) of Hopkinton, and has directed over 30 children’s theater productions and taught acting and singing classes at Hopkinton Center for the Arts. As a performer, favorite roles include Lucille in The Cemetery Club, Tour Guide in The Grand Tour which won first place Hopkinton Center for the Arts’ play competition A Play, A Pint and a Pie, Amnesia in Nunsense and several of its sequels. She has also written many skits and shows which she enjoys performing with her husband Kieth.

BETH RISTAINO - ACTOR favorite roles are Mrs. Shears/Mrs. Gascoyne/Various Ensemble in The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime, Ouiser Boudreau in Steel Magnolias, Lydia Lawson in Things My Mother Taught Me, Dorothy Shea in USO Tribute Show, Catherine Barber in Five Nickels (Short and Sweet), Chris Gorman in Rumors, Lady Lucas in Pride and Prejudice, Mother in Seven Ages of Anne, Myra Bruhl in Deathtrap and Abby Brewster in Arsenic and Old Lace.

CYNTHIA TOCCI - ACTOR After many years as an actress/director on the New England Dinner Theater circuit, Cynthia Tocci opened her own Dinner Theater "Deco Boston Dinner Theater" in Woburn Massachusetts. After selling her business in 1998, Cynthia relocated to Los Angeles where she collaborated with and assisted other independent film producers. Her first film, "Title to Murder" (2001) was shot in Massachusetts in October 2000.

 She has appeared in several independent films and in the Netflix series “Primetime Glick” as Governor Katherine Hutchinson.

 Cynthia also is a prolific author.  Her first novel, a YA fantasy entitled “Stone Voice Rising” was published by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt and she is currently working on the third installment in this fantasy series.

LARRY UCHILL - ACTOR is a skilled capital markets lawyer with over 50 years of experience in the full range of complex and sophisticated real estate work.  Mr. Uchill is an adjunct law professor, teaching Securitization at Boston University’s Morin School of Banking since 1996; and a former shareholder at DLA Piper LLP and Brown Rudnick LLP. Mr. Uchill is also the President of the Massachusetts Future Problem Solving Program, a Section 501©(3) limited liability company which was formed to help students in Massachusetts develop and use creative thinking skills.

PAUL CHAMPLIN - ACTOR is an originator and co-founder of Enter Stage Left Theater of Hopkinton, MA. in 1982.  As writer, director, choreographer, and performer he has contributed to various theaters in Massachusetts and Rhode Island over the last forty years, and substantially to Enter Stage Left.  

As performer, Paul has appeared in productions for Turtle Lane Playhouse, Westborough Players Club, Beechwood Theater Company of Newport, Blackfriars Theater of Providence, Boston Living Center, Priscilla Beach Theater of Plymouth, and Amazing Things in Framingham.

While Paul continues to perform intermittently, The bulk of his artistic work in recent years has been as writer, director and producer.  

 He also directed entries for the Boston 48 Hour Film Project in 2009 and 2010 under the banner, New Tricks Productions (with Karen Webb and Dawn Anderson). These film shorts were selected as among the Best of Boston in their respective years, and screened at the Kendall Square Cinema in Cambridge.

MARK LAUMEISTER - ACTOR Some of Mark’s favorite roles include Carlson in Of Mice and Men, Douglas Panch in Spelling Bee, Ken in Rumors, Doc Gibbs in Our Town, Stephen Hopkins in 1776, Nick in Baby, Cornelius Hackl in Hello Dolly, Juror #7 in Twelve Angry Men, and Pharaoh in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.  He has also appeared as Bob Hope in a local USO show.  Mark is a Master Electrician and works for a telecommunications engineering firm in Mansfield.  In his spare time, he enjoys golf, boating, and pickleball.

DENISE LISET - ACTOR enjoys performing stand up comedy and writing. As a performer her favorite roles to date has been Miss Preen in The Man Who Came to Dinner and various ensemble roles in the wacky and wonderful Young Frankenstein.

STEVE SULLIVAN - ACTOR performed his first show ever with Enter Stage Left (“ESL”) theater company in Hopkinton, MA in 2000 as Matthew in Anne of Green Gables. Since then, he has appeared in over forty shows with ESL including Bye-Bye Birdie as Harry McAfee, Hello Dolly as Horace Vandergelder, Scrooge in Christmas Carol (2x), 1776, all of the ESL Live comedy shows and the USO Tribute shows, Our Town, Of Mice and Men and the Laramie Project.

Steve would like to thank Senior Smilez for this opportunity, but most of all send a thank you to his wife and best friend Eileen for all her support over the years!

BRAD WALKER - ACTOR is very excited about having the opportunity to act with so many talented people.  Brad studied acting at Washington University in St. Louis, and the Globe Theatre in London.  His theater credits include: Of Mice and Men (George), Rumors (Glenn Cooper), Crimes of the Heart (Doc Porter), 1776 (John Hancock), Greetings!(Andy Gorsky), One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest(Dr.Spivey) and The Diary of Anne Frank (Otto Frank) amongst others.  His film appearances include VERY brief appearances in Black Mass, several other major motion pictures, and various independent films.

FRANCINE DAVIS - DIRECTOR is a Boston-based actor/director/teaching artist who has worked with many area theater companies over the years, including King Richard's Faire; Boston Shakespeare Project Collective; Olde Essex Stage Company; Roxbury Outreach Shakespeare Experience; Dream Role Players; and Post-Meridian Radio Players. Her directing credits include Romeo and Juliet; Much Ado About Nothing; The Comedy of Errors; Arsenic and Old Lace; Nickel and Dimed; and Nuncrackers: The Nunsense Christmas Musical. As an actor, she has played characters ranging from God to Satan. Favorite roles include Kate in The Taming of the Shrew; Olive in The Women of Lockerbie; Shylock in The Merchant of Venice; Cassius in Julius Caesar; Fairy Godmother in Cinderella: The Real, True Story; and Beatrice in Beata Beatrice (EMACT Best Actress nomination). Francine is also involved in educational theater. She directs college and high school productions, and teaches acting to elementary and middle school students. She is delighted to be part of this season's Senior Smilez productions.
